Postepay is a prepaid card very popular in Italy. It works like a regular card but it is not connected to your bank account and you cannot spend more than you uploaded to the card. When you purchase the card, you can top it up at a post office, through the internet or via some ATM machines. Once you have money on your Postepay card, you can spend it in various shops both offline and online (for example on Amazon.com).
You can load up to 2000€ to your Postepay card and maximum amount for a single transaction is 1000€. You can get this card at any Italian post office.
Methods of deposit
You can also deposit by Paysafecard - prepaid cards that can be bought for cash in many places, most often at gas stations, newsagents and some grocery stores.
